Universitas Ciputra International Community is Officially an UKM

The Universitas Ciputra International Community (UCIC), after several years as a club supported by UC’s Collaboration and Global Engagement (CAGE) department, is delighted to announce that we have finally acquired UKM status! This marks an important milestone in the journey of our team and our prestige.

 

UCIC was started in 2021 as a student committee that would support and provide committee members for international events. It was envisioned as a gateway to international opportunities for UC students, both inside and outside the international community, who were interested in what they could do abroad.

 

Since our founding, we have hosted and supported numerous events. We’ve brought to life our flagship event, PRISM, and we’ve accompanied guests from all over the world, ranging from students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and OP Jindal Global University, to education-oriented ASEAN delegates from Thailand, Vietnam, Germany, and beyond. 

 

We have also collaborated with numerous organizations such as the Food Technology Program Student Union (FTP-SU) and International Business Management Student Union (IBM-SU), in order to bring to fruition the best international events, featuring contestants, professors, speakers, and entrepreneurs from all over the globe.

 

As an UKM, in addition to our committee responsibilities, we now host meetings for our members weekly. The activities involved include seminars about cultural tolerance, inviting speakers to talk about their educational experiences abroad, and fun English-learning activities that prepare our members for going cross-country and meeting people from different backgrounds. 

 

While this is instrumental for our progression, UCIC still looks forward to developing further, growing as a committee, and as a team, to bring even bigger, bolder events to Universitas Ciputra students that fuel the global spirit and ensure that entrepreneurship isn’t just national, it’s international.
