Anda tidak lagi seperti koki masa lalu yang sibuk di dapur berkonsentrasi pada makanan dan hidangan yang sedang mereka siapkan. Dunia berputar dengan cepat, termasuk dunia kuliner global. Dunia chef mulai berubah drastis saat lahir julukan chef selebriti. Istilah ini merujuk pada seseorang yang terkenal dengan masakannya, biasanya lebih terkenal dengan sisi personalnya daripada sisi kulinernya. Tahun 1990-an adalah masa transisi bagi koki semacam itu. Jalan menuju ketenaran pasti terbuka. Banyak yang awalnya hanya bekerja di restoran atau hotel menjadi semakin populer. Mereka juga menjadi selebriti. Setelah itu, dunia kuliner semakin banyak berganti jamur. Benar-benar tanpa disadari, koki baru muncul dari dapur dan menjadi selebriti. Restoran mereka diserang. Buku-buku yang mereka tulis diburu. Acara TV juga diperlukan. Olahan kulinernya saja sudah membuat mereka kaya raya. Status sosial mereka otomatis juga akan meningkat.<\/p>\n<p>Televisi tidak diragukan lagi telah menjadi tumpuan bagi koki elit kelas dunia saat mereka membangun reputasinya. Itu benar-benar satu hal yang menjadi kekuatan koki. Namun, di sisi fundamental, yakni produk, para chef sadar akan pentingnya positioning.
