Curriculum
The curriculum of IBM-IC UC is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the global business environment. This program typically includes a comprehensive study of international business strategies, cross-cultural management, global marketing, international finance, and trade regulations. Students engage in case studies, real-world projects, and simulations to develop a practical understanding of how to operate effectively in an international context. Emphasis is often placed on fostering intercultural competence, language proficiency, and a global mindset to prepare graduates for leadership roles in multinational corporations, international organizations, and the dynamic field of global business.
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Innovation (3 Credits)
- Kapita Selekta Bisnis: Through this module, students will learn to present their ideas in a business context both verbally and in writing. Students are able to pitch business ideas individually or in groups using creative media based on problem identification, information processing, and the application of business communication theory. (4 Credits)
- Economic for Business: Students are able to present the results of economic analysis in groups based on economic studies (micro and macro) accompanied by empirical data support. (3 Credits)
- Business Management: This course contains a basic introduction to business management that will enable students to enter advanced management courses such as marketing management, operational management, financial management and human capital management. With this course, every student will have the knowledge and ability to become an entrepreneur who is able to manage available resources to achieve certain goals. (3 Credits)
- Principle of Accounting: In this course, students are invited to learn the basic concepts of accounting which include recording general journals, ledgers, adjustment journals, trial balances, so that in the end students can create financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting standards, both for service companies and for trading companies. (3 Credits)
- Becoming Indonesia: Students are encouraged to appreciate and internalise the concept of “Being Indonesia” in the context of diversity, the wealth of natural resources and their utilisations in the context of everyday life from the smallest scope to the national and state scope. (3 Credits)
- Pancasila: Comparison and evaluation of various contexts, students will be able to appreciate the values in Pancasila and to internalize its values into the context of everyday life, from the smallest scope to the national and state scope. (2 Credits)

- Introduction to Venture Creation and Scaling (3 Credits)
- International Business: Develop a basic understanding of the concept of globalization and cultural differences, identify economic and industrial conditions that apply to international business in relation with the international business. (3 Credits)
- Marketing Management: Understand the Importance of marketing for the company’s progress, marketing trend of the 21st Century, analyze consumers. (3 Credits)
- Financial Management: Explain the basic concepts and functions of financial management, determine investment decisions on valuable assets, simulate capital requirements and determine capital costs. (3 Credits)
- Utilizing Digital Technology: students will learn to leverage digital tools and emerging technologies to improve business operations, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation in a competitive environment. This course discusses the use of information systems and digital platforms to improve business efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness. (2 Credits)

- Human Capital Management: Understand the general description, functions and theoretical background of human capital management, design and apply human capital management functions to their businesses. (3 Credits)
- Cost Management: Students learn how to plan, control, and reduce costs in business operations through techniques like budgeting, cost allocation, and financial analysis to improve profitability and efficiency. (3 Credits)
- Innovation and Critical Thinking in Entrepreneurship:This course discusses how to develop critical and innovative thinking skills in entrepreneurship. Students will learn how to identify opportunities, develop ideas, and create innovative solutions to business problems. (3 Credits)
- Entrepreneurial Project 1: Students begin to execute the business that has been prepared from the previous semester in order to validate the business model based on 4 business functions, technological aspects and legal aspects. (3 Credits)
- Business Ethics: Students learn to identify, analyze, and apply ethical principles to make responsible decisions in real-world business situations. (3 Credits)
- Indonesian Language: Students learn to develop advanced skills in formal Indonesian language use, including academic writing, critical reading, effective communication, and appreciation of Indonesian linguistic and literary heritage. (2 Credits)

- Operation Management: Find and present solutions to management and business problems, do an in-depth examination of the pillars of company management, which consist of HR, operational, marketing and financial functions. (3 Credits)
- Consumer Behavior & Negotiation: Explain the introduction of consumer behavior and marketing strategies, and identify the affective and cognitive aspects of consumer behaviour and its marketing strategies. (3 Credits)
- Entrepreneurship: Taxation & Law: Students learn the basics of taxation and law relevant to entrepreneurs, including tax obligations, business licensing, business contracts, and intellectual property rights protection, to support legal and responsible business decision-making. (3 Credits)
- Entrepreneurial Project 2:Students individually or in groups carry out ventures by paying attention to the management of management functions in a sustainable manner through the creation of innovations that are validated from the aspects of growth and sustainability. Students practice the innovation process and demonstrate the outcomes of innovation that have an impact on company performance. (3 Credits)
- Elective Interdisciplinary I (MKI): Offered by the School of Entrepreneurship and Humanities, and Cross-Program Courses can be freely chosen by students in line with their career plans, with flexible combinations allowed each semester as long as they meet course quotas and program requirements. - Religion: Students will be able to appreciate the concept of faith, devotion and humanity through the process of analyzing, comparing and evaluating important issues related to Indonesia’s current condition. (2 Credits)

- Organizational Theory and Behavior: Students learn how individuals, groups, and structures affect behavior within organizations to improve effectiveness, teamwork, and leadership. (3 Credits)
- Statistic for Business: Designed to help students to acquire the basic knowledge regarding the importance of mastering statistical methods to support business success based on the availability of real data in the field. (3 Credits)
- Data-driven Entrepreneurship: This course discusses how to use data to develop a successful business. Students will learn about how to collect, analyze, and use data to make the right business decisions. (3 Credits)
- Entrepreneurial Project 3: students individually or in groups implement innovative strategic planning in the form of development improvement actions and fulfilment of global standards aimed at sustainability, increasing market growth, and venture valuation. Class divisions and facilitators are adjusted to the type of industry of the student’s business for depth of analysis and innovation strategy. (3 Credits)

- Research Methodology: Understand the concepts of research and marketing strategies, prepare implementation plans based on the concept of a marketing strategy framework, implement marketing strategies, and evaluate the overall implementation of such marketing strategies. (3 Credits)
- Budgeting: Students learn how to plan, prepare, and manage financial budgets to support strategic decision-making, control costs, and ensure organizational financial health. (4 Credits)
- Green and Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Students learn the principles of sustainable entrepreneurship with a focus on environmentally friendly, socially responsible business practices that are able to create long-term positive impacts on society and the environment. (3 Credits)
- Entrepreneurial Project 4: Students individually or in groups run ventures and are able to create growth in the venture. Growth in the company is measured by the increase/improvement of operational excellence indicators, product leadership, customer relationships and profitability. The company’s growth is proven through field validation carried out by facilitators and periodic company performance reports. (3 Credits)
- Professional Credentials (MBKM credentials): Recognition of achievements gained through Indonesia’s education program that allows students to gain diverse learning experiences outside the traditional classroom, aimed at enhancing their skills and employability. (4 Credits)

- Strategic Management: Students learn how to analyze, formulate, and implement long-term strategies to achieve competitive advantage and ensure the sustainable success of an organization. (4 Credits)
- Innovation on Real Business: As part of an internship, students apply creative problem-solving and innovation strategies to real business challenges, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to tangible improvements within a host organization. (3 Credits)
- IRBP Internship (Integrated Real Business Practice): Students engage directly with real-world business operations, integrating academic knowledge with practical experience to develop professional skills and business insights. (7 Credits)
- Special Competency: Students are invited to study the basic concepts of management strategy, introduced to strategic tools such as SWOT, QSPM and how to analyze the data. At the end of the lecture, students can design their business strategy with an appropriate approach. The output is a paper on the design of the business strategy of students registered at IBM UC. (4 Credits)
- Final Project: Students can graduate by completing a thesis paper, publishing research in a journal with a minimum Sinta 3 rating, or securing employment with a legitimate company before graduation. (6 Credits)
Specialization
To face ever evolving demands in the workforce and digital landscape, IBM-IC provide students the opportunity to choose a focus area aligned with their interests from the early semesters through semester 6, particularly in skill-based courses. The implementation of these specializations is tailored to the characteristics and personal interest of each students and aims to develop relevant competencies for students’ career goals.
