IBM-IC Students Embark on China Immersion Program to Explore Rising Technologies and Global Markets<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Guangzhou & Shenzhen, China<\/em> \u2013 A select group of students from Universitas Ciputra\u2019s International Business Management \u2013 International Class (IBM-IC) recently participated in a one-week China Immersion Program, visiting key innovation hubs such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The program offered firsthand exposure to China\u2019s dynamic market landscape and its rapidly advancing technology sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the immersive learning experience, students visited major institutions and companies including BYD<\/strong>, one of the world\u2019s largest electric vehicle and battery manufacturers, and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies<\/strong>, a prestigious institution known for its international business and language programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of this study tour was to broaden students’ global perspectives and enhance their understanding of business and technological development in one of the world\u2019s most influential economies. Through site visits, company briefings, and academic discussions, students explored topics such as sustainable mobility, smart manufacturing, and China\u2019s digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Study tours like this serve as powerful tools in bridging classroom knowledge with real-world practices. For university-level students, especially those in international business programs, immersion programs offer unparalleled insights into cultural nuance, industry trends, and international business strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn today\u2019s interconnected world, it\u2019s essential for students to see and experience how global markets function beyond textbooks,\u201d said one of the IBM-IC program coordinators. \u201cSeeing how companies like BYD innovate at scale or understanding how Chinese universities cultivate global collaboration helps our students think more critically and act more globally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond academic enrichment, students also gained valuable soft skills\u2014adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and teamwork\u2014through navigating new environments and engaging in cross-border dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanding Global Footprints<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This immersion program is part of Universitas Ciputra’s broader commitment to fostering international collaboration and experiential learning. It complements ongoing partnerships such as the recent MOU and MOA signed with Shandong Jianzhu University, further embedding global exposure into the IBM-IC curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As China continues to be a powerhouse of innovation and economic growth, understanding its ecosystem is no longer optional\u2014it\u2019s essential. This journey to Guangzhou and Shenzhen marks just the beginning of many future international programs designed to equip students with the mindset and skillset to thrive globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
