UC Online Holds Public Lecture, Equipping Students for the World of Work and Business

Surabaya (beritajatim.com) – Ciputra University (UC) Online recently completed a Public Lecture designed to equip students with the skills and insights to increase their competitiveness in the world of work and business. The event ran from March 11-27, 2025.

According to Dr Teofilus, Head of the UC Online Master’s in Management, online learning is currently an effective solution for those who want to continue developing.

“Online lectures at UC Online are not just about obtaining a diploma, but rather equipping students with comprehensive skills and knowledge relevant to the industry,” he explained on Thursday (March 27, 2025).

The public lecture was attended by second-, fourth-, and sixth-semester students. Participants gained insights from various speakers from diverse backgrounds, including those from the corporate sector, entrepreneurs, consultants, policymakers, and state-owned enterprises.

The goal, said Teofilus, is to provide a comprehensive understanding so that students can apply theory and practice in accordance with government policies.

Several speakers in attendance included H.M. Ali Affandi La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti (Chairman of the Surabaya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Dr Herzaky Mahendra Putra, S.Sos., M.M., CPR., CCM. (Expert Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development), and Danny Hidajat (Founder of We Link.Co Vietnam).

UC Online not only focuses on developing students’ entrepreneurial mindsets but also ensures they are able to develop ideas and innovations that comply with regulations, both in the workplace and in business.
The hope is that UC Online graduates can contribute positively to companies and create competitive businesses. Dr Teofilus added that this public lecture demonstrates UC Online’s commitment to providing quality education relevant to industry needs and current developments.

On the same occasion, UC Online student and private sector employee, Ferry Susanto, expressed his satisfaction in attending the public lecture. “I gained a lot of insights that I can apply as development proposals at the company where I work,” he said. [ipl/ted]
