UC Online Holds Public Lecture to Equip Students for the World of Work and Business

Surabaya, mili.id – Ciputra University (UC) Online is once again holding a Public Lecture aimed at equipping students with skills and insights to increase their competitiveness in the world of work and in business development, from March 11-27, 2025.
Head of the UC Online Master’s in Management, Teofilus, stated that online learning is currently an effective option for individuals seeking continuous development.
“Online studies at UC are not just about obtaining a diploma, but students are truly equipped with comprehensive skills and knowledge related to the industry they are involved in,” he said on Thursday (March 27, 2025).
This public lecture was attended by students from various semesters: semesters 2, 4, and 6. Participants gained insights from various speakers with diverse perspectives, including those from the corporate sector, business owners, consultants, policymakers, and representatives from state-owned enterprises.
With this approach, students are expected to gain comprehensive insight so they can apply theory and practice in line with government policies.
“The speakers included H. M. Ali Affandi La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, Chairman of the Surabaya City Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr Herzaky Mahendra Putra, S.Sos., M.M., CPR., CCM., Expert Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development; Danny Hidajat, Founder of We Link.Co Vietnam; and others,” he added.
Teo emphasised that UC Online not only develops students’ entrepreneurial mindsets but also ensures they can develop ideas and innovations that comply with regulations, both in their workplaces and in the businesses they start.
“Thus, UC Online graduates are expected to have a positive impact on the progress of the companies they work for, while creating highly competitive businesses,” he said.
One of the UC Online students, Ferry Susanto, a private sector employee, expressed his enjoyment of participating in this series of guest lectures.
“I gained a lot of insights that I can use to develop the company where I work,” he said.
