Ciputra Education Builds High School and Two Medical Faculties in Surabaya
February 5, 2025
Surabaya, mili.id – Ciputra Education has once again demonstrated its commitment to advancing education in Indonesia by building new facilities, namely the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry for Ciputra University (UC) and Ciputra Kasih High School.
The Ciputra Kasih School high school construction project in Citraland Surabaya has entered the final stages of completion and is scheduled to begin operations in April 2025.
Ciputra Education Executive Board Member, Prof. Denny Bernardus, stated that the construction of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry at Ciputra University is a strategic step towards establishing an internationally recognised higher education institution in the healthcare sector.
In addition, the Ciputra Group is providing scholarships totalling IDR 2.5 billion to outstanding prospective doctors studying at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry at Ciputra University.
“With modern facilities, advanced laboratories, and cutting-edge medical equipment, the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry at Ciputra University will become centers of excellence in producing competent and innovative medical professionals,” he said on Wednesday (February 5, 2025).
Meanwhile, Ciputra Kasih School continues to expand with the construction of a new high school building in the Northwest Citraland area, covering an area of 6,800 square meters.
This building is designed to create a conducive learning environment that develops critical thinking, leadership, and a global perspective in students.
“This high school building is equipped with laboratories, modern classrooms, a hall, a music room, a sports room, and a visual arts room. We hope these facilities will create an inspiring and innovative learning environment, grounded in the values of integrity, professionalism, and entrepreneurship,” he continued.
The General Manager of Ciputra Kasih School, Fenny Sukamto, added that the construction of Ciputra Kasih High School was due to the limited capacity of the old building at Citra Berkat School.
“The old building will be used for elementary and junior high school levels only. Automatically, the new building will allow the school to increase its capacity to accept new students at all levels of education,” she added.
Ciputra University Rector, Prof. Ir. Yohannes, explained that the new Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry buildings will function as life science laboratories.
Meanwhile, the old building will focus on social sciences, biomedicine, and other related fields. “We feel that the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry are not sufficiently accommodated on the main campus, even though it already has 6,000 square meters. With the addition of new facilities, the student quota for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry will increase from the current total of 500 students,” he concluded.
The construction of these two educational facilities is expected to further strengthen Ciputra Education’s position as an institution committed to producing a superior generation ready to compete globally.
