Misalnya, peningkatan konflik dalam keluarga. Disisi lain, ia juga memengaruhi <em>turnover<\/em> di perusahaan. Lantas bagaimana cara mendapatkan win-win solution?. Dalam studi berjudul \u201c<em>changing workplaces to reduce work-family conflict<\/em>: <em>schedule control in a white-collar organization\u201d <\/em>yang terbit di <em>American Sociologicall review<\/em>, Professor Erin Kelly dan Phyllis Moen dari University of Minnesota menunjukkan hubungan antara lingkungan kerja dan kehidupan berkeluarga. Mereka menggunakan metode result only work environment (ROWE), yang mengalihkan fokus para pegawai dan manajer dari \u201cwaktu dan lokasi kerja\u201d ke \u201chasil kerja\u201d. Sebanyak 600 pegawai dan perusahaan di Minnesota turut serta sebagai partisipan.<\/p>\n<p>Hasil studi menjukkan beberapa temuan menarik. Misalnya membolehkan pegawai mengubah waktu dan tempat mereka bekerja berdasarkan kebutuhan pribadi masing-maing dan tanggung jawab terhadap pekerjaan ternyata memberikan dampak positif bagi hubungan pekerjaan keluarga pegawai tersebut, serta mengurangi turnover perusahaan. Pegawai dengan ROWE berhasil meminimalkan konflik keluarga yang diakibatkan argumentasi terkait pekerjaan. Isu-isu privat, seperti \u201cpilih pekerjaan atau keluarga\u201d. Di sisi lain perusahaan, ROWE juga berdampak positif dalam menurunkan tingkat turnover pegawai sebanyak 45 persen. Hanya 6 persen dari partisipan yang meninggalkan perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja dalam periode delapan bulan sejak dilakukan penelitian.
