Jika ada yang berpikir tinggal jepret, anggapan itu salah. Menurut William prasetya Handokusumo menangkap gambar makanan harus menggunakan hati. Pria kelahiran 15 September 1978 itu mengatakan, untuk bisa membuat makanan, untuk bisa membuat makanan terlihat enak, dirinya sering menata ulang. Bahkan, membuat sajian kreasi mendekati gambar yang diinginkan. Misalnya memotrest es krim itu mudah meleleh. Biasanya wiliam menyediakan adonan es krim yang tidak mudah leleh. \u201cYang penting, hasil gambarnya terlihat enak,\u201dujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>William bercerita, dirinya menjadi food photographer karena tidak suka dengan makanan amburadul. Dia merasa gaya mawut tidak mengiterpretasikan rasa yang enak. \u201cGayanya terlalu kuno, tidak bikin ngiler ujar lulusan universitas new south wales di Sydney, autralia tersebut. Menekuni profesi food photographer sejak 2006, William merasa bahwa makanan khas Indonesia paling sush di foto dengan angle yang baik. Sajian nusantara mempunyai banyak bumbu dan tekstur. Bagian yang susuh adalah menangkap semua kekayaan kuliner agar terasa pas. \u201cPerlu feel yang cocok. Kalau terlalu banya, akan terasa too much dan makanan itu tidak menggoda selera,\u201djelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dia percaya bahwa profesinya akan menjadi pekerjaan yang menjanjikan, ketika kafe menjamur, permintaan terhadap food photographer otomatis meningkat. Dia menyatakan hal itu menjadi industry sendiri, \u201cyang perlu dilihat adalah cara menyakinkan klien agar percaya pada industry ini\u201ducap pria yang karyanya bisa dilihat di instagram, @enog_food-photography, tersebut. Laurensia anggreani merupakan salah seorang fotografer yang mulai mencoba memotret makanan. Biasanya dia memotret model. Menurut dia, makanan mempunyai warna tersendiri. Tidak sama dengan objek mati biasanya. \u2018Kalau motret, biasanya lama. Sampai makanan tidak panas dan rasanya jadi aneh,\u201dujarnya. Susilo Wicaksono, 28 juga sedang menekuni profesi food photographer. Sebab, dia mempunyai hobi makan. Namun lama kelamaan sajian itu terasa eman untuk dimakan dan menjadi asyik untuk di foto. \u201cYang penting, mood harus stabil. Harus bisa membuat makanan ini terlihat enak sehingga orang kepingin. Istilahnya dari mata turun ke perut,\u201dujanya.<\/p>\n<p>Sejauh ini susilo lebih sering menggarap katalog menu. Menurut dia, paling susah memotret makanan dengan banyak warna. \u201cKalau udah banyak warna, biasanya aku konsultasi dulu dengan klien. Mana yang mau di tonjolkan, \u201cpaparnya.
