Universitas Ciputra Surabaya is the quickest university in East Java to receive an UNGGUL by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. Postgraduate Master of Management (S2) program has managed to become a postgraduate program with the second largest number of student body in Surabaya.

The purpose of Universitas Ciputra Surabaya’s entrepreneurship course is for graduates to have entrepreneurial competency to be able to face global challenges and/or are able to be a pioneer, manage, or develop ventures (both business and social) for a long term and have positive impact on society.

The Master of Management in Entrepreneurship Study program was established in 2011 in support of the National Entrepreneurship Movement (Gerakan Kewirausahaan Nasional/GKN), which was launched by the President of Indonesia on February 2nd, 2012. This movement is believed to be one of the important solutions to advance the nation’s competitiveness. For this purpose, the Master of Management Study Program designs curriculum, prepares lecturers who are experts in their fields and other resources needed in the implementation of graduate level learning programs so that graduates are able to become entrepreneurs and or intrapreneurs who have integrity and global insight. The Study Program is currently accredited UNGGUL under Universitas Ciputra Surabaya with an UNGGUL accreditation.

The curriculum is design to produce graduates who are able to create various innovations in their companies and effectively communicate new ideas to stakeholders to be executed effectively and efficiently.

8Decision making: Able to make decisions that are in accordance with organizational goals by considering measurable risks and changes in the business environment using management science and entrepreneurship approaches.
9Comunication-recognition: Able to present the results of his work in communication media by utilizing information media that can be widely accessed, and appreciated by the academic community, business community and or the general public.
10Research: Able to organize research-based thinking in the form of a thesis for the field of Management / Entrepreneurship / Scientific Concentration or expertise.
11Transdisciplinary: Able to develop specific and comprehensive learning and work strategies to solve problems, based on the mindset that is built and developed during independent learning in the scientific fields of management, business and entrepreneurship and other expertise.
12Theory: Mastering the theories needed in the process of managing companies/validating opportunities/theories of developing sustainable business strategies consisting of:

  • Theory of management function analysis tools (POAC) and business functions (Marketing, Operations, Financial and Human Capital)
  • Sustainable business strategy development theory (minimum: RBV; BOSS; Dynamic Capabilities)
  • Effectuations theory
  • TPB/TRF theory
13Method: Mastering the methods required to produce a business strategy consisting of:

  • Methods in Management (SWOT/QSPM/HR Development/SIA)
  • Quantitative/ qualitative research methods
  • Application of research methods in current journals
  • BMC/EMC/design thinking/scamper/10 types of innovation
