The Corona Virus is a very dangerous and threatening epidemic that is currently affecting China, but we wouldn’t have even heard about Wuhan until the virus hit the news. Before the Corona Virus, Wuhan was an amazing city in China with an intriguing history, a powerful economic workforce as well as a place rich in culture.

What happened to Wuhan was a tragedy, and hopefully China will find some way to fight against the virus and Wuhan will recover. However, until then we can only hope and give our prayers to the people of Wuhan.

Before Beijing, Wuhan was formerly known as the capital of China in the early 1990s due to it being the source of the Wuchang uprising, an event that led to the formation of the Republic of China that we know today. Currently, Wuhan is one of the most industrially and technologically developed cities in China with a railway system that connects to the major cities in China as well. The only reason Wuhan isn’t that famous outside of China is likely because Wuhan isn’t an international hub like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau or Beijing.

To better illustrate what kind of place Wuhan is, here are some choice destinations for when you feel like going on a vacation to China:

Donghu Scenic Resort

Donghu Scenic Resort is a beautiful place to stroll around and sightsee in Wu Han. With the luscious green color that contrasts the blue and white cloudy skies as well as the cherry blossom trees, water lilies and the statues of historic figures, this is the perfect place to relax or perhaps search for inspiration after a long day.

Wu Han is actually an amazing city that could rival the likes of Shanghai and Beijing, but not many people outside of China knows about it. Perhaps once the virus dies out, it will become a blessing in disguise for Wu Han and maybe people will get to know how beautiful and modern Wu Han really is.
